The Solace Tree Receives Support
from Swimming for Solace Concert
Reno, NV (June 3, 2013) – Robby Schlesinger, along with the people supporting his Swimming for Solace efforts, put on a concert at the Knitting Factory in May to support the Solace Tree. With the help of these bands, they were able to raise nearly $1,000 for the Solace Tree: Small Drawings, Never Nudes, Weapons of Mass Creation, Bazooka Zoo, New Car Smell, Boggan and SubDocta. Several artists and photographers were on hand to sell their work, with a percentage of proceeds going to the cause. They included: Andrew Legarza, Jayem de Ocampo, Iain Harrison, Thomas Crawford, Devin Fitzee and Josh Turner.
The Solace Tree, Inc. a 501c (3) non-profit based in Reno, NV, with a mission to provide peer support, information and education to schools and the community to promote healing and recovery for grieving children, teens and their families who are affected by loss.
