Your entry fee covers green fees, cart fees, continental breakfast, boxed lunch, hosted bar at the reception, appetizers and prizes.

Limitations: Limited to the first 100 players

Format: 4 ball Nevada Scramble. This format calls for all participants to tee off on each hole; the best shot (as decided by the team) is chosen. The next shot will be played within 1 club length of that position and no closer to the hole. The player who hit the chosen shot will not hit the next shot. This process will continue until the ball is holed out. After completing the hole proceed to the next tee and record only one score on your official scorecard.

Texas Roadhouse Hosts Fundraiser for Solace Tree July 28-29

Reno, NV (July 7, 2010) – The Texas Roadhouse, located at 150 Damonte Ranch Parkway, is donating 10% of its customers’ food purchase to the The Solace Tree, July 28 and 29, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.  Customers simply need to present a special flyer for The Solace Tree to receive the donation.

Solace Tree Named One of Northern Nevada’s Healthcare Heroes

Solace Tree Founder Emilio Parga was recently selected by Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield and Nevada Business Magazine as the Entrepreneur Healthcare Hero for 2010. Parga is one of ten Northern Nevada Healthcare Heroes.

Now in its fifth year, the Healthcare Hero ceremony is a non-profit event that benefits students seeking careers as healthcare educators. Over the years, the Nevada Business Magazine has donated $1000′s to local educational institutions.

In addition to founding (and continuing to run) The Solace Tree, Parga works as a Pediatric Thanatologist and bereavement consultant to Washoe County Social Services and Washoe County School District. He is also a trainer to hospitals, clergy, funeral homes, emergency services and businesses. He is the author of several books on grief, including “Love Never Stops.”

Half the net proceeds from the sales of these angel paintings, is donated to The Solace Tree, dedicated to helping children, adolescents and teens cope with death and the grieving process by providing a safe environment to express their feelings. Shared sales of Solace Tree Angels merchandise, in the form of t-shirts, framed prints and hand painted prints continues through 2010.

Sex & the City 2 VIP Premiere Event

On Wednesday, May 26, 2010 bring your favorite friends, show off your fabulous style and come to the most anticipated event of the year!! Be the first to see Sex and the City 2 before the movie premiers in theaters!! Tannenbaum Events Center will host the Sex & the City 2 VIP Premiere Event to benefit the Solace Tree. The event will take place from 5:00 pm to Midnight and will start at the Chocolate Bar at The Summit and travel to the Tannenbaum Events Center, returning to The Summit for the movie premiere at 9:00 pm. This Event is filled with big surprises, tasty bites, colorful champagne, amazing raffle prizes, goodie bags, and a perfect lounge setting. Brush up on your “Sex and the City” knowledge for the Big Trivia game because we are giving away a prize that is worth playing for!

A portion of the proceeds from the tickets sales and 100% of all raffle/silent auction prizes will support our local Solace Tree to help raise money for grieving children, teens and families in need of support within our community. The Solace Tree is an organization of care giving professionals and volunteers committed to supporting grieving children and teens. Through peer support programs and educational opportunities for schools and the community, children and teens will learn to cope and adjust to the changes in their lives.

Tannenbaum Events Center features a beautiful lawn and professionally landscaped grounds, with a large deck and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, making it a perfect setting for an indoor or outdoor event. Our Moroccan themed lounge setting will host tasty bites, champagne, and be filled with fun gifts and surprises. Artwork by the talented Franz Szony will also be on display.
